  • another Interior | noiseee | large image

    Hi people.

I have finished the renderer and upload a smaller version on my website.

Click on the image for a larger version.

The final render is 4000 width, it renderer in 11 hours and 35 minutes.
I used QMC 1/4 noise RQMC at 0.85 and 0,001
In the scene are a couple of vray lights that have 12 subdivs.

so now a couple of question,
    You like the image?
Any ideas to decrease render times and decrease noise.

Oh after seeing the smaller version i see less noise cause of the JPg compression hehe, but in the large version it is there (walls and doors for example)
And at last any comments and suggestion on the image are very welcome!!!!

Now i'm off doing some post adjustments in photoshop

    Best regards

As discussed in the other post on noise, tips may or may not work in absence of some solid, hands-on testing.
If you could share a stripped version of the scene with the main noise issues present, it would be perfect.

hmm dunno if i can do it, a stripped version will only have the walls, doors and floor and ceiling.... maybe later on

unfortunately, with your image sampling set so low, the 0.001 noise threshold wont do you much good in the way of image sampling. for starters, always disconnect image sampling from the noise threshold by deselecting the Use QMC thresh value. When you do, specify the noise through this Clr value. So the noise threshold value is a big reason why your render time was so long. also, since you never mentioned them, i imagine you have some insane GI settings. your time is pretty high, even for 4000 pixels. also make sure you keep an eye on the task manager so that you know if you're running low on ram.

ah well i know about the sampler, set to 1/4
That i did cause i saw no change either using 1/100 or 3/6 in quality.

I needed to be rendered today, so choose safty first

IR and lightcash are low quality for the final render. if you need to render that large, you don't need high IRmap. those two are not the problem. but it's the sampler that does the trick i think.
